RAM mounts are good stuff. We use them as an OEM at my work. Engineer approved.

For those that use HLT, do you use the built in iPhone GPS or do you use an external (if so which one?). For those that use HLT and FlashPro, is there a way to use the datalog functionality from FlashPro with HLT or will I have to invest in a seperate ODB connector for use with HLT? What version do you run (is the Grand Prix addition worth the extra $?) As I will be running a GoPro Hero 3 as well, I am guessing the Grand Prix version will be the way to go. Any advice for a newbie would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone use an ELM327 for coolant temps? If you do, can you provide some feedback?

I checked out some random YouTube videos where folks have coolant Temp displayed and the readings seem so erratic and not constant at all. There are fluctuations between 150-230 degF within a matter of 2-3 seconds which can't be possible. I'd like to use HLT as a reliable source of this info but with fluctuations like that, I fee it can't be trusted.

Thanks in advance.

Yep, I use ELM327 through ODB II. Seems to work well for me though it only reads in 1 deg C increments (1.8 deg F). See my videos below (one includes oil temp and oil pressure which were datalogged on a separate device, not through the OBD port).

Hi Kenny, I have IPhone and run external GPS with my HLT. I use GarminGlo. As far as logging data and combining, I'm sorry I cant help here. I purchased the Grand Prix version and have no reason why other than if it cost more it must be better. haha!

Wow, my reply was from 2016 post. Whoops!

Lol, yeah this is a little old, I have since figured it all out. I also got the GrandPrix version and for anyone else curious, you can combine the data from a FlashPro datalog with the HLT data... no need for a secondary ODB module.
