On Cobalt website, they have only XTR and XR-Series, and the distributor I called told VR is actully discountinued already. So XTR is the VR replacement? even better?

HT-10's are loud as hell and it's cool

I got HT-10's front and blues on the rear, Only did 1 track day so far with the HT10's but it felt like the hotter they got the better they were to a point of eyeball ripping braking.

Anybody used axxis ultimates on the track? I use them on the street, they're good, they make some noise but not bad at all, they dust a ton, I have slotted rotors so that just adds to the dusting. They pretty much ruined my factory wheels, they have black specs all over the flat part of the lip, I dont care about the oem rims anywho. I've come from 100-0 a couple times and there was no fade or anything so I think they're pretty good, just wanted a roadrace opinion.

I'v had ultimates on my car running HPDE2, brand new set could only use for 2 days event(or maybe just 1 day), wear and overheat too fast.

Best street pads though

I find the Cobalt's bite too hard and make driving smoothly difficult. I'm looking for something less grippy. Cobalts are certainly the best for a hard bite and shortest stopping distance but they may not be the fastest around the track. My instructor at my racing school last weekend was giving me a hard time about how hard I was braking and how I wasn't being smooth on the brake. I told him I'm barely touching the pedal. He took out the car for a few laps and got off my back not doing any better than me. I suspect Cobalts would do better on a 3000lb car. I didn't have this sort of problem when my car was 2900lbs. Now at 2400lbs they snag too hard.

That's just me and my car however, like I said they were fine when it was a tracked street car. I might try the HT-10's on the front and the blue's on the rear. I can't readily get Cobalts in Canada.

Porterfields are filthy and the pad material crumbles. Not as good as others mentioned here.

I had the same experience with them. I threw them away after one day on the track.
