Default Hawker lightweight battery

I bought one of those lightweight Hawker batteries that GoFast used to sell. Do I need any special brackets to install it? I think I remember seeing it in 2 Hoos car at one time but can't remember how it was fastened

Ry, sorry for posting this in this forum, but I only trust racers for advice

Craig, I just placed it in the stock bracket and tighten down the clamp across the top in the same way. I turned the connectors on the cable on their side in order to attach to the threaded studs on the new battery.

Was great to see you at the track on Sunday. Need to get a V8 Radical and sell me the current one cheap .

You can post anything here. you really should hang out more and call people name with us!

What richard said is right, it fits w/ the stock clamp. attaching the wires depends on if you have terminals or not.

Thanks Richard.

It was great to see you and Will too. Wish I would have known that you guys were there Saturday too. I didn't know you were running DK's car now. I need to go to more SV events.

I watched the standing start of your Sunday race. That was cool... just like F1. However, I'm glad we didn't do that in GT. I would have been run over by the Comp Coupe and Turbo Porsches...

No V8 for me... yet. Maybe a 1400 motor so I can attempt to keep up on the high HP tracks. Everyone just keeps spending more and more money (bigger engines, high downforce bodywork, etc.). Keeps Morris happy anyway I was the only one there with a 1300 and "normal" bodywork. Best I could do was a 1:25 in the SR3. Brian Johnson did a 1:15 in his SR8!!! Futterman did a 1:18

BTW, congrats on finishing the races and surviving the weekend! Hope to see you guys again soon.

By people, you mean JP?

Now that I have the KW3 coilovers he sold me installed, I need to go see if they are just bling or will actually make the car go faster around corners
If you're slow, it's not the KWs

And yeah, where the hell have you been hiding?
