Yeah, the last experience I had with heat exchangers led me to post this thread before removing things I'd regret later.

Weight loss.

I've seen people use the defroster (wire) setups from rear windows.

This works well when installing a new windshield.

This product is also extremely effective. I helped a buddy install this on his HC car and it works like a champ and weighs next to nothing. Only real con is that if you bust the windscreen you must reinstall this as well.
