Heel toe
I'm 6'2" 185lbs, with size 11's, even in slimmer shoes such as soccer/jogging shoes, I still find it a bit difficult to heel toe smoothly, does anyone have any recomendations on foot placement, or are the oafy feet going to be my doom

I do the classical heel(gas) - toe(brake), but that's just natural for me. Have you tried side-stepping, i.e left part of the foot on brake, right part of the foot on gas. Big feet people should be better with this positon. There's always bending pedals or custom pedals.

I have size 10's or 10.5's. I brake with the left part of the ball of my foot (the strong, solid part where your big toe joins your foot). My leg is rotated so that my heel is diagonal down to the right about as much as it comfortably can be. In this position, there is plenty of the right part of the side of my foot (not the heel) overlapping the gas pedal for blipping.
For this style of heel-toeing, I find wider shoes helpful, not slimmer shoes.
Hope that helps.

i'm about 6'3, the only way i could heal toe before was to roll the side of my right foot to blurp the gas. Otherwise my knee would hit the bottom of the steering wheel when trying to heel toe the more traditional way.
At our height, the best solution for me was to purchase a lower seat. I got a recaro spg, with the taitec rail Now its a LOT easier, it gave me a lot more leg room and I could get the seat back a little more.

Remember that if you're practicing on the street, you're likely not braking hard enough to heel-toe properly. If you're hard on the brakes, the brake pedal and gas pedal are at the same height and it's trivial to blip the throttle with the right side of your foot. If you're not hard on the brakes, then what's the point in heel-toeing?

2. To match revs while braking to reduce wear on the clutch, tranny, etc.
3. Because it's fun.

with payneinthe, I attempt to heal and toe on the street but it rarely works well.
Then I started doing it in auto-x and it worked so much better, I always have problems on the street getting it right, but at speed with HARD braking it works really well.
