How does it feel braking hard at threshold/ABS at over 100 mph going into a corner, using your toe? Safe and secure braking comes first, not blipping the gas.

It feels great!

I don't think anyone said to use your toe on the brake, It's the ball of your foot. This is also why a lot of people use "driving shoes", they help you to feel the pedals better. SAFE is always FIRST. But once you have done this enough, it is safe. That is why you learn/practice/perfect on the street at lower speeds and not at over 100mph going into a corner.

I don't do it to practice, but just because it has become second nature now. I love being smooth - simple as that.

Yes, i am a bit touched as well

You realize that is completely wrong? Downshifting should be happening in the straight-line braking area. By the time you start to turn in you should be done shifting. Think about it. Heel-toe really isn't a significant factor in driving at 10/10. It's a technique for rev-matching during downshifts and nothing more. To drive 10/10 you need to heel/toe lest you spin off the track but at 9/10th where most people are you can get away without it (your syncros will hate you tho).

Throttle - brake! - blip - shift - blip - shift - turn - ease brake - throttle
Heel-toe has nothing to do with syncro durability unless you're using it to double clutch...

Go think about how a transmission works.

I'm 6'2" 185lbs, with size 11's, even in slimmer shoes such as soccer/jogging shoes, I still find it a bit difficult to heel toe smoothly, does anyone have any recomendations on foot placement, or are the oafy feet going to be my doom
try racing shoe. maybe that'll help
