Default Helmet Sale..this never happens. Ends tonight

I just wanted everyone to know that Winding Road Racing is having a 15% off Black Friday sale that ends tonight, Sunday, 11/26/17.

It's for everything in their "For Drivers" section.

The big deal is that it includes helmets!! I don't think I've ever seen helmets go on sale. Generally everyone charges the same list prices for helmets.

And they carry pretty much every brand.

Here's the link:

Subesports had a black Friday sale for 20% off. It included helmets except carbon helmets. That's the best I've seen but it was one day only.

Looks like a good deal, but for the noob, I'd recommend buying a helmet for the first time from a local shop that knows what it is doing and has a good selection. 10 years ago, I bought a G-Force from a local speedshop who only carried that brand. I had no idea how to fit them and since the shop only carried G-Force, bought one. The price was right at $249 or so. Last year I realized my 2005 Snell was too old so went to a local Wine Country Motorsports since they had sponsored a track event and I wanted to repay the favor. Turned out that I knew nothing about how to properly fit a helmet and my old one was too loose as well as didn't go down far enough to properly protect my chin. I tried on around a dozen models and eventually found a Bell that fit me well. Wasn't cheap at around $600, but I figured this was not the place to save money.

My point is that unless you already know that a particular helmet/size fits correctly, I'd be careful about buying one online.
