what models of Arai are SA-2000 rated? or HJC??? most SA-2000 helmets I found are ugly

If you're not very active in motorsport and only plan to do a few track days a year, you'll be fine with an HJC. Also, check out Bell helmets - they have a huge selection with a wide range of prices.
I just got a G-Force from www.saferacer.com
They have a great selection and offer free shipping.
As much as I like my expensive Shoei motorcycle helmet, I have to say, I think the G-Force fits my head better...

I just bought a ZAMP helmet. It is M2000, SNELL rated.
It should be good enough for track events, right?
It cost me under 100 bones.
I do not know the difference between a Motorcycle rated helmet, an a Race rated helmet. Is there a difference, and is my new M2000 rated helmet okay for HPDE Street?
Thanks for your help in advance,
CB

All,
I've only been to one High Performance Driving Event. I brought a pre-2000 motorcycle helmet and was forced to borrow a helmet from the BMW Mini team.
(Thanks Mini!)
Well, I'm wondering if my M2000 rated helmet will be okay for the next track event? Anyone? Buhler, Buhler, Buhler ... ?
I'll ask NASA and ASRA dudes too.
Thanks,
CB

It depends on the track and the school. No one can give you a definitive answer. SA2000 will get you in everywhere.
The other think to keep in mind is each track/event organizer may have their own rules regarding the age of the SA/M rating. SNELL ratings are every 5 years, so come mid to late 2005 and beyond you will be able to buy SA2005 helmets. My Shoei is an M95 and that makes it 10 years old, although I have not owned it that long.
