I only read good things about Hammerly - but they are damn hard to get hold of
If you can afford the $500 price tag, I believe this is the same design as the Hammerly.

Hammerely Hitch is not in production right now. Grendon is removable at track and offers that weight savings. I have a DeLan and tow a tire trailer. I have seen several people use the DeLan with a tire tail (that puts full load of 4 tires/wheels on the hitch)with good results. I save hitch weight difference by dieting and eating after the race. Check FAQ. under R & C site for more info. DeLan comes with compleat instructions. Instructions and pics for all three are in FAQ. Beats hauling tires inside of car.

Inspired by Random1, a local autoxer named Tage fabricated a removable hitch for MY03 S2000. Pics can be seen here: http://members.cox.net/~kevingleaton/S2000Hitch.html The hitch towed my tire trailer from Phoenix, AZ to El Paso, TX and back without a hiccup.

Tage fabricated a 2nd hitch for another local autoxer who goes by the name Silvershadow on this forum. This hitch had additional improvements over mine.

Since that time, Tage has been working on a third version of the hitch that is coming out in the next couple weeks. It will feature a quick disconnect at the front (so you don't need to crawl under the car). The non removable parts will only weigh between 5-7lbs and (IMO) it will be the best looking as the main bar will change directions to perfectly match the contour of the belly of the car resulting in the cleanest look while mounted to the car as well as a receiver hitch that is actually level with the ground and not angled up. Pricing should be extremely competitive with the current market, somewhere between $400-450. Interested individuals should Tage directly at Tage@autocrossing.com.

I got mine from Doug Chase, at Chase Race. He has a mail order business in them, and it works very nicely.

Take a look at http://www.chaserace.com/fabrication/fabrication.html
