Help with mushy brake
Just for grins, stick your head under the dash and have a look at your brake pedal assembly. There are 4 horizontal studs that attach the pedal assembly to the fire wall. Those should be fine. Further toward the rear of the car there is a single vertical bolt that secures the pedal assembly to the dash cross beam.
That bolt came lose and fell out on me once about 3 years ago, and I found it lose again when I checked it this week. If if falls out or is excessively loose, the brake pedal bracket will deflect and bend and make the brakes feel mushy.
I've never heard anyone else with this issue, but this is twice for me now.
