Default HELP! Problem w/ Hard Dog Roll Bar Install?

I am in the middle of installing a Hard Dog Roll Bar. I just tightened the left-rear backing plate and it looks like it is tearing the frame?? I don't see any evidence of damage from above, but what I see below is worrying me. Is this something I should be concerned about? If so, I'd imagine I need to take the car in to a welder and have him do a local repair. Please help!!

I am not sure what you mean by "seam sealer". There is a semi-soft rubber substance applied to the surface in that area. I chiseled it away a bit with a flat blade screw driver in the area in question and found metal. So basically there is sealant, then metal, then small air gap to the adjacent surface that the roll bar backing plate butts up against. Hope that makes sense.

It looks like the undercoating is getting compressed. Can you actually see a tear in the metal?

I recall the metal being very thin there, but I don't recall issues with the metal "bending". It very well might just be your undercoating compressing.
