How to make my S2000 faster than a Lotus SC Elise?

I run a SC'd S2000 and other the only cars I have trouble with are GT3 Cup Cars, Viper Competition Coupes and--oh yeah a bunch of the jackasses who drive NA S2000s . Fortunately they never show up to very many of the events I compete in. I've NEVER had a problem with an Elise.
I run 255 RA1s in front and 275 NT01s on 17x9 CE28s, an APR wing and no AC/radio/interior, etc.
Oh yeah, and I run Tein RAs.

The Volk CE28N's are only 13.x lbs front and I recall around 15 lb rear, so much lighter than those, and the Volks are wider. Get 17x9 all around so you can run big tires up front too.

And Krazik....good point. . I can't afford to run every West Coast track event....sticking to the NCRC TT and ARC race series. For whatever reason only the abberant S2000 shows up in addition to mine. Too bad, too, there's a Race Series, Time Trials and Relay Races, instruction/mentoring, a race school, etc. and the events typically have little if no off-track excursion delays (except the Trans-Am car that obligatorily blows it's engine on the track right after lunch).
BW this weekend. 100 deg. heat. Should be fun.

Keep your wheels stock and get a good set of snow tires. Those are amazing around the track in the summer. Also, try removing your sway bars and radiator to save weight. That should help keep you competitive.

Quick answer:
Add another 200whp
Remove 2-300lbs
More tire with more grip
Upgrade suspension
Then learn how to use it all and fix it when it breaks.

With the SC and keeping full functionality you're going to be lucky to get down to 2700lbs so you'd need around 330hp to match power/weight ratios with him making 250 SC'd. You're also gonna need 35% more tire than he has to match grip levels but that would be 275F 305R and those aren't going fit so you better come up with some downforce. The elise makes some of that too so you're already behind in that category as well. So looking at the numbers your only chance is to outdrive him. Good luck!!
