As a new guy in SCCA, I can relate to the goal they have in mind with these changes. I think a better approach would have been to tweak RTR as a good place for beginners to land. Either way, it's going to suck for SEB's mailman the next few months.

You're right. The sky will fall and the S2000 stock now street drivers will really suffer.

Luckily this is only "proposed" and not official changes, yet. The wheel size change is nice. Not much else. Its pretty much insane.

Humor me -- why is it insane? (Ryan, you've said your piece on RRAX, so feel free to sit this one out. )

With the exception of the dual swaybar allowance, it seems to be mostly goodness to me.

@Josh

That letter is pretty damn close to what actually happened. The wheel width one is one issue I wish they would address to allow more parity between the AP1 and AP2. I am not sure how well that would work with other cars in the class though. Really though I have no horse in this race. I am committed to STR at this point.

@Pedalfaster

I said something similar in the BSP prep thread. Seems to me those with high end shocks and r compounds will get to run in the BSPLP class and get the benefit of more camber and adjustment of both sway bars.

Yea ill prep the new car for STR and not worry about what they do to stock class. I agree it's a big change and as creatures of habit humans hate change. The shock thing is the only thing people have any reason to get mad about. I like the idea of street tires in stock and building up the tire lvl with the prep lvl, stock, st, sp...

I hate getting raw times by a second to a pro lvl Bstock driver over my ap1 STR build. Hahaha
