Any feedback on the Stoptech brake kit for the S2K? I'm looking for feedback from someone who has track experience.

I've yet to see any feedback on the Stoptech brake kit from someone who tracks their S2K. Anyone? Yes, I've searched and reviewed a lot of brake posts ...

 

I don't know anyone who tracks the car with this kit....tell you what, I'll sell it to you and you can write a track review?

The Stoptech kit for the S2K has been out for about a year and no one has ever tracked a car with the kit? Is this brake kit worthwhile for the track, or just for show?

I'll contact a friend who's been running aftermarket brake calipers on his car and encourage him to post his impressions here.

I know that he broke one set of aftermarket calipers (not sure of the manufacturer), then switched to a different company's set and still has reliability issues. Pad replacement sure is easy though, and the pads are less expensive than OEM replacements.

IMO, stick with the OEM calipers, add cooling ducts, race-oriented pads and fluid and you'll be good to go!

 

How difficult is it to change pads with the stock calipers?

 

Once you've done it a few times, it should take under 10 mins per wheel total for all 4, including removing/replacing the wheels.
