I sold stoptech in a previous life. Their brake systems are fantastic, very track worthy. You can get pretty much any track compound in the appropriate size, (same as the Porsche 928 GTS pad).

that said, on the s2000, they require too large of a spacer. A 37 mm offset SSR competition would fit, but it has spokes that stick out farther than most wheels. (they don't make a 37mm, but a 40 mm offset works with a 3mm spacer) Stock wheels are going to require something like a 17-18mm spacer, which is pretty huge. You are going to end up exacerbating the S2000's already problematic bumpsteer issues up front, especially if you've lowered the car.

I have some friends with Stoptech BBK (not on S2000 though). The best BBK around in my opinion. Track worthy. Also, I have had great customer service from my dealings with Stoptech. BUT, the stock S2000 setup (with proper pads, fluid, SS lines) is so freaking good that I think for the most part a BBK on a S2000 is for looks.

Most of us run stock brakes.

If I could find a big brake kit that didn't require huge spacers, I'd definitely get one. My stock rotors are just unhappy with stress cracks all over them after 4 track days. Maybe I need to put my ducts back in... but, I'd love to have more reserve, this car doesn't stop anywhere near as well as my other car... (which has 12.74" rotors from the factory)

Those are fine if you like flexible calipers

So it turns out that the Stoptech kit would require 15 mm spacers with my wheels ... Volk ce28n's. WIth the 15 mm spacers the Stoptech caliper won't rub, but my front tires will rub the fenders.

I guess that explains why no one is running these on their S2K.

I guess I'll have to get off my lazy ass and run some cooling ducts to the fronts.

like said before, look into the wilwoods, 3mm spacer with stock wheels, maybe even none with the 13" kit and 04 wheels. big 6 piston caliper, etc.
