Default Intermittent skipping during oversteer

Hey guys,

I've noticed a strange characteristic of the car that happens primarily during autox. Sometimes, the car experiences a violent "skipping" during corner exits where the rear end starts to slide. It feels like the tires/suspension is skipping across the pavement instead of maintaining constant contact with the road. It feels pretty harsh.

It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, I can't figure out why. It's very random. I've tried reproducing it on a skid pad and couldn't do it consistently. Sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't. The car is stock with a front CR bar on street tires. Have any of you experienced this before?

I honestly don't know what bumpsteer feels like, but from what I've read, it's when you hit a bumpy surface, and the wheels steer in a different direction due to changes in toe. I think this is different from the skipping I'm feeling. It'll happen on the smoothest of surfaces. The car will violently skip instead of slide in an oversteer situation. I'll countersteer just the same, but the skipping feels so harsh on the car.

An 06 have a traction control, did you turn VSA off? Don't forget you need to turn off every time you start the engine.

It only has 32K miles. I wouldn't have imagined the bushings would go out so early. The suspension is completely stock except for a new CR front sway bar I've installed around 10K miles ago.

VSA always off when Autoxing

Now that you mention it, street_ruler, the wheel hop sensation during a burnout or hard launch is the exact same feeling I'm getting, just sideways. Could the bushings have gone bad this quickly? Any easy way to check?

How much oversteer are we talking here? It sounds like you're just skipping across the surface when you get too high of a slip angle in the tires. When you oversteer, are you off throttle? Same thing happens to the front end when the car pushes or you overdrive it.
