Intermittent skipping during oversteer
Sounds like it could be the Torsen style diff. Is the rear end stepping out, or is it like the power delivery is intermittent? Like almost a bogging-down feeling.
If it's the latter, you're lifting your inside rear wheel at which point your diff won't let you apply power. This happens particularly with sticky tires and sharp, quick turns (or kerbs) that disrupt the complete contact of the rear tires.

actually wheel hop is notmally from worn bushings in the suspension or bad motor mounts in a FWD car. are your diff mounts ok? id check those to see if the diff is bouncing around.
also what tires are you running? it could be a function of the prefect storm. right tires, right amount of flex in the a-arms and bushings and bammo....wheel hop.

A phenomena I encountered years ago on Yoko A008Rs was due to the tire reacting differently when crossing a painted line. No other tire I've driven, R compound or street, has caused this noise/feel. Since you say this is during autocross where you typically encounter painted lines, is it possible you're just noticing the difference in grip between the pavement and paint?
