I am having similar issues on Toyo RA-1's. My fronts are wearing like yours and I'm running -3 deg. all around. I figure I need more negative camber up front. I'm on 255's all around on 17x9's.

Wynn,

Yea, try more negative camber. I'm running -3.5 up front and -3 in back. I' running Hoosier R6s and NT01s 255x4 and it works very well.

For those of you having this issue, how much caster are you running?

Your caster directly affects your camber in a corner when the wheel is turned. It's possible you need more caster.

I am running a 255 tire on a 8.5..
That's going to cause a lot of sidewall flex. Move to a 9.5 or 10" and it'll be better. You can also flip them and you'll get some more miles out of the set

RS3 have a softer sidewall, and they also grip more. Try adding pressure if your pressure is not already where you want it to be.

The alternative is to add more camber.

I had similar wear on my RS-3, and I am also running -3 camber; I am on stock CR suspension.

When I go back to using RS-3, I plan on increasing my camber to -3.3, and will see how my wear is. I may need to go as -3.5.

This is what my rear looked like on my last set of RS-3. The star specs I have are wearing almost perfectly evenly with the same alignment.

Keep in mind that my tires are also street/daily driven. That's how extreme the uneven wear was with the RS-3. The picture was taken after street miles, so most of the feathering/scaling from the track has been worn off.

This is what the front RS-3 looked like after one track day. Note the outer edges have already worn so much that there is no water channel left on them. It's a lot more apparant if you compare it directly to the inner edges.

@psychoazn Do you have a camber kit to go upwards of -3' camber?

I am running 6'12" and 6'18" Caster by the way. Is that too little?

So the RS3 has a soft sidewall, which needs more camber then huh.

And a wider rim would help.

Anyone run RA1's on CR springs?

At stock height on the CR (~0.4" higher than non-CR), I maxed at -1.8 front and -2.8 rear. I am running a camber joint in the front, and will be getting one for the rear as well.

what is your toe set at? if you're toe'd in, you'll wear out the outer edges of the tires.
