Default J's Racing Tow Hook

Is the above tow hook just for show, or is it actually functional? Anyone know? What are most people using for the accidental off track situation?

I have no idea if the J's tow hook is functional or not, but I can't imagine anyone making a tow hook that isn't functional

I use the tow hooks that came with the car

Yeah, it's functional. You may have to cut a hole in your bumper, though?

The stock ones are functional, too....as are the TC design ones. On the street the only time I've seen them is when a guy wants to make it appear that he's driving a race car.

And yes--they're a requirement with a lot of track organizations. If you go off and don't have a tow hook it could take 15 minutes instead of 2 to hook your car up and pull it back to the pits.

For the J's racing tow hook you do not need to cut a hole in your bumper nor do you need to drill holes for the mounting point. There are already two holes that you attach the tow hook to. It fits AP1 an AP2 without modification

well, some of us on on track literally every 10th day, have no trailer but too lazy to pull the tow hook off to/from track.

That's me! I just leave the TC tow hooks on all the time. I've stopped daily driving the car, though, but it is still street licensed.
