only 2 of my shocks are like this. Its probably just how the valve was installed when they build the shock.

last event I was 1 turn up front on top, 1.5 in the rear

when they say clockwise, is that looking from the top of the shock or the bottom?

RA-1s and a Gendron bar set at hole 3... 1 being softest-6 hardest

thats it suspension wise. car was solid. tires were 35-36 degrees when hot

I too found 7/8 compression and -0.5, -1.5 rebound to work well. My suspension is not very stock, though.

Those are some cold tires, where are you racing the North Pole?
