kwv3 vs eibach multi pro r2
For the money, if you're budgeted for v3s, why not go with the Ohlins DFV? They're like 2300 total. I sold my V3s for them...believe me when I say: the Ohlins made the V3s feel like cut coils on blown shocks. WAY better
If you're looking for something for the track/autocross maybe consider the HKS Hipermax IV SP. They get great reviews and HKS builds a really high quality shock. The spring rates are a little high for the street (16k/16k) but if you are mostly track/autocross they are within budget and are more aggressive than the KWv3 and the ohlin DFVs. Also, they are single adjustable without an external reservoir so if you do NASA it's not as many points as the R2.
I feel like if he's considering the r2's the Ohlins end up on the soft side of the spectrum for him. I like my DFV's but they are a bit on the soft side with factory rates.

I've tracked the R2's for a few years now. I drive to and from the track and although the 900lbs springs are stiff it's not unbearable.
I've thought of lowering the spring rates a bit but never got around to it. When the track surface has a washboard type of bumps the car definitely skips over them. That being said its so minimal that I've never felt compelled to make the change. Autocross might be different since the surfaces are typically bumpier than actual racing surfaces.
The rears are stock length so if you are going low you *could* bottom them out. i remember someone claiming they would bottom them out but I can't find the thread or confirmation of this. I added a RCA in the rear and I've never hit the bump stops.
For the money I'd buy them again.
