Default Laguna Seca Sound

I'd like to start this thread on what it takes to pass sound at Laguna on a 92db day.

I'll keep updating the list as I get information.

Pass
1.Stock exhuast, Stock Intake, test pipe
2.Mugen exhaust, stock intake, with cat
3.Invidia Dual w/ Silencers 89.6 DB
4.AEM V1 marginal with Mugen

Fail
1.AEM V2 Intake _>98db measured at Thunderhill
2.any single exhaust (almost)
3.

AEM V1 passed Laguna, so not sure where why a V2 won't.

I was marginally out with AEM v1 and Mugen exhaust (black flagged only once, at the end of the day, about 1 dB high). Some clever cardboard baffling of the bumper/undertray holes around the intake might be enough to pass, but using the stock airbox is safest. YMMV.

I got meatballed twice for AEM V2 and stock exhaust. I ended up putting a peice of cardboard around the filter and lifting slightly.

Looks like my Mugen exhaust will be fine, anyone combine an aftermarket exhaust with a Comptech CAI here?
