The timing accuracy of a DL1 is just as accurate as a beacon for all practical purposes. The main deviation is in where you mark the start finish in the software. If it's exactly in the position of the beacon sender then you'll get times which are accurate enough for analysis but not for competition. For that you need an AMB transponder.
