Default Lapping day pics (last night)

The track:

1.3km, tight, slight elevation change mid track, off camber turns x 3

Having spent a lot of time this spring getting the car ready, i was curious to see how it would do in my 1st lapping day of 08'. This was a test and tune session for the upcoming (june 3) time attack.

Feedback: The RE01Rs are simply the best street tire i have used and they really proved themselves last night. By far the best mod. The PSS9s were dialed in at 1F and 3R with 38psi front and 34 rear. Handling was quite impressive, but i need to add a little more negative front camber and a 1/16 more toe out. Spoons mono blocs were very consistent with HP+ pads, but i had not done my switch to anything higher than a DOT 4 so in later sessions i began to have some issues with a soft pedal. My aero enhancements were perhaps marginal because of the slow track speeds, but im happy with them anyways.

Overall i was happy with the confidence from the car, but need some better fluid to push the brakes more. I was running 1:15.7 ish which was decently fast, but i think i can break 1:14 during the attack...we will see.

nice pics. Why do you run with the top down though, especially with the wing? You pretty much negate any benefits it can provide. Nice color

thanks!

yah...i recognize that i negate much of the wing, but this is a relatively low speed track which is generally run in 2nd gear so the wing does little anyway. However, im in the process of getting a hard top for track days.

but with that said, top down is just so much more fun than a little extra downforce.

Nice pics. That seems like awfully high tire pressure. I run around 30 cold at the track.
