Launching the S2k...
get your big toe/ball of your foot on the left side of clutch pedal and then move to the side(quickly) and wham wheels start spinning.
I ran pro solo 3 weeks ago out here in DFW. This was my first and first time with a christmas tree start.
.54x was my fastest reaction time
.57x was the norm for me.
6K and side step.
I was able to pull on turbo miata's putting down 275 whp.
I ran in SM2.
2.1 60 foot pulls, not too bad.

Since nobody has expressly stated the consequences of launching the S2000, I figured I would. Basically the S2000 differential is the weakest part of the car, and it will probably break pretty quickly if launched many times with R compound tires. Quite often Honda will not honor warranty claims on busted diffs by saying that it is owner abuse, especially if they find out that you autocross or drag race. A new diff through a Honda dealer is thousands of $$.
A couple tenths of a second at an autocross isn't worth it for me. I always do the 2K RPM feathered / bogging "launch".

Our car has been to approximately 85 solo events with three drivers!
