I don't know for sure, but you should probably not launch the car at as high of an RPM.
What I'd say is: Don't adjust your style, but dump your style. Start over as if you're driving a completely different car...because it is a different car.

Hope I helped,
Have a wonderful weekend.

Id say that youd need change things like braking point and when you get back on the hammer. You'll find that it is a lot harder on your brakes too so depending on how long the race is you'll need to preserve them or upgrade them.

Might wanna post in the racing forum too

Post in the racing forum and you will in all likelihood get more "rip" than you will help because it sounds like you're talking about drag racing.

S2000 + Drag Racing = expensive repairs and very few wins.

For what it's worth, very few magazine tests have shown that the Supercharger decreases 1/4 mile times very much, if at all (FI makes it more difficult to launch the S2000).

You want better 0-whatever times, go with the 4.77 gears and a stronger pp. If you're going to continue to launch on the street or strip, prevent (or postpone) the inevitable and get a reinfoced differential kit from Comptech.

With all that said, my .02 is that you should get out on a road course and you may never again long for a light-tree....

--> MOVED TO RACING AND COMPETITION <--

Most of these guys have delt with what RPM to launch at and would be able to assist you further. I dont think with the SC you would ahve to launch as high but that would probably be better answered here.

i'll just echo others, but if you are drag racing, then you need to experiment a little with the launch rpm. start 2000 rpms lower and see how much wheelspin you get. adjust from there accordingly.
