Default Long Shot Question

Anyone know the RC and CG of their S2000? I am assuming I'm going to have to measure it. I'm trying to estimate how much my suspension is traveling (or should be as I think it is bottoming out)

At what ride height? Are all suspension items stock? There are a variety of variables you need to consider and it's unlikely anyone has measured it with your exact build. You are best off measuring it yourself.

hook up a set of damper sensors to your adl and you'll know exactly how much travel you are using.

Yeah it's definitely on the list. Since you're one of the few people I know is running Club Sports are you concerned about bottoming out the shock? I recently went to the track with O-Rings on the shocks to see how far I was traveling and I believe the rear was bottoming. Even at rest the shock only has 1" of compression travel (maybe even a bit less) and my car is not all that low. I run 1000lb springs and a pretty stiff front bar (stock rear) so I don't think my setup is unique, if anything I probably run a bit stiffer than most.

Never mind, not bottoming out. I just confirmed with Moton that the entire shaft of the shock would be buried in the shock before it bottomed internally. Unless the top spring perch is hitting the dust cover there is no problem, just FYI for anyone in the same situation. That said if your running less than 1000lb springs you would be damn close to bottoming. Andrew did you have Moton custom valve your shocks? I am currently sending mine back to have them re-valved for stiffer rebound damping the stock valving is definitely rebound for 1000lb springs. I plan on running stiffer springs so that's only going to make the problem worse.

16bar front 12bar rear with 1000lb/in springs all around. I'm thinking 1300F 1200R springs with a re-valve for more rebound front and rear and leave the compression alone. I kinda wish I went with the 3 ways, I feel like the low speed compression could be a touch stiffer but I don't think the high speed blow off is soft enough but I'll know for sure after the re-valve and the Sebring event... bump central

That's interesting. SOS told me they ran their TA s2000 with only 500lbs in the rear ... They went all the way up to 1000lbs and reverted back. They recommend a 600F/500R combo for their customers.

Then again, the setup from the SOS car is in the FS forum with 900F/800R ...

i dont think they were running 315 hoosiers though, 17x9 from what I recall (much less grip).
