I just focus on not gaining weight. It's like debt, be responsible in the first place and you won't have to focus on digging out of a hole.

Moto cross burns huge calories.

Ocean swimming makes running seem like nothing in terms of burned calories. The combination of 60ish degree water and a hard 1 mile or more swim burns massive calories. Go boogie boarding if you don't like swimming hard, it's a hell of a lot more fun than running. The scenery is a lot better as well.

Take up water polo that kicks running in the A$$ as well.

easier than burning calories is to control the intake of them. eating the right foods will make all the difference in your daily caloric intake.

So, I have some experience with this topic. 7 years ago I weighed 275 lb. I now weigh 210 lb.

I'm 6' 1". I'm a big kid, think NFL fullback levels of ass. At 210 lb and a 36" waist, I can't fit in a Sparco Evo 2 Plus seat. I probably can't at 190 lb either; my frame is just too big.

The biggest thing is to figure out what kind of diet and exercise that will allow you to lose fat. For me, it's plants and animals: lots of protein and robust, green veggies.

I hurt my back 3 years ago throwing around heavy weights. I now only do body weight and yoga. It's been a big change for me.

Why do I tell you all of this? Everyone needs to figure out what works for them. Think about what you're eating; if you were getting paid based on your physical performance, would you eat fast food every day? How would you work out? What hurts? What makes you feel like Superman?

Experimentation is the only answer. I'll never be a marathoner. Others will never be Olympic lifters. Me? I respond best to working out like a martial artist. Lots of body weight and high intensity, low duration cardio.

You have to figure it out for yourself. And it's a lot of fun to do so.

I decided to do this in January, so far I'm down a little over 50 lbs., with another 70 to go until I hit my goal...
