Default MAM in 2 weeks

In 2 weeks, I will be at MAM for the ITR Expo. I am wondering if anyone has pointers/tips. I haven't been there and have only seen an aerial view of the track. It seems pretty flat. Anyone have a walk through for me or reference material? I would like to have my lines semi mapped as I have been placed in advanced. I don't wanna lag behind those ITR's

On a side note, I installed coilovers. I have been trying to do some street tuning/adjusting. They are kg/mm coilovers 10k f/10 r. They have 15 settings (1 is softest, 15 stiffest). Right now I have it set at 9 front, 7 rear. The one thing that seems to annoy me is at high speed corners (80+), it seems as though my rear is lifting and I do not want to push the car anymore. Anyone know how i should adjust my set up or if i need anything else? I plan on sway bars but for now running stock.

What is MAM?

The rear is lifting? Is it moving around a lot at high speed?

Try cranking up the damping to max in the rear and see if that helps.

I upped the dampening to match the front. Car feels much more planted but I have a lil oversteer now which I have to adjust to.

You should crank up the front more that should help a little. Other wise you will need to balance the car with the tire pressures.

Never been to MAM.

there are some videos of mid-america motorplex on this site:

http://www.myrx7.com/movies/

i think you're right that the track doesn't have much of elevation changes... also i remember when they were building it the surface material was supposed to be some sort of high grip stuff.

never been there though, so i can't offer any real world advice. i'm sure you'll pick it up after a session or two and then get faster from there.

^ that rx7 driver will be my instructor for the track event. weird you found that. i saw his vids. its hard to see lines since his show segments and not a full lap.

i had a discussion with a fellow board member about my suspension feeling. he had the same thing and thought it was a problem. even though my car feels like it is lifting, its not. its actually planted. i played around alot tonight and even when i feel the rear kicking out. its not, the car is sticking. i just kept pushing and pushing. that feeling seems to be the car rotating, something i did not feel in stock form. hopefully, this is the case as i will find out for sure on the track. thanks!
