well, we had a 6.8 magnitude earthquake here in Seattle today.

my building at work is off limits, as file cabinets flew across the floor, and supposedly at least one wall crumbled.

our car was tucked away in the garage while this sucker hit, and that concerned me

you see, there are shelves, thin, plywood shelves, right over the hood of the car... I could just imagine the carnage! I almost cried...

luckily, he's okay, not a scratch on him. I even used the afternoon "off" to get his new spoiler installed, he's awfully purrty now.

hopefully the adrenalin will wear off before I need to fall asleep tonight...

Annie

wow, looks like my work building is worse off than
I thought, still off limits! I get a bonus day off from work!

And other than a computer monitor falling on a co-worker's knee (she thought she was all the way under her desk... unfortunately not) no one I personally know was hurt in the quake. We're so fortunate that it was a "deep" quake, if it was on the surface, well, it was the same magnitude as the San Francisco quake, and we all remember that... hopefully people here will learn from it.

I know we did, as nothing heavy will be anywhere near the S2K any more!

Really glad to hear you guys are OK... when I heard about it, you're the first people I thought of. When I started to hear that there was only property damage and no-one was seriously injured, my thoughts turned to Marcus. I'm glad everyone got through unscathed! Enjoy the day-off, Annie!

Banannie,

Glad to hear all is fine out there. I have tried to call some friends but only get a recording about the quake. I'll try tonight to make sure their OK and of course the car aswell. You deserve a day off after that - I would definately require a dose of VTEC to get over the experience.

It is a relief to know seattle S2000s are fine. I hope the parking lot at Emmeral Down is fine so we can move on to our next AutoX.

Yup, very happy to hear that Marcus is okay. Hopefully we'll meet at one of the Pros or Tours this year before Nationals so I know what you all sound like!
