Be sure to carry spare wheel bearings. The Harbor Freight Trailers use an odd size that you can't find at the local stores when you are stranded on the side of the road.

I've done many long hauls with mine. Repack the wheel bearing once a season and you should be fine.

Was this a trailer drag race against a pickup and a semi? What were they trailering? Go S!
That was at a rest stop where there is segregated car and trailer parking, and, well, I had a trailer...

Yeah, it's kind of amusing to pull in to the rest stops and park amongst the semis with your little sports car and tire trailer.

Yeah, and once I got a ticket for speeding (limit is 55 for trailers) and not being in the right lanes for trailers , ... and not having proper trailer plate .

Well heck, that's only three. I thought you had to break at least four laws to get a ticket!

True, that is an issue. I jumped through the hoops and got my trailer registered legally. I have to pay for tabs and all that every year. No extra insurance required though.

And yes, in CA the signs indicate a lower speed limit for vehicles with trailers. In WA the signs just say the lower speed limit is for "trucks", but my dad tells me it also applies to trailers.

But you don't want to be doing 85mph with these trailers anyway, or you'll burn up their wheel bearings lickity-split.

Yeah, that's like a car wheel doing probably 130+ , but this Southsport trailer is amazingly stable and durable, and I pack my bearings with grease gun before every trip. Never had a problem.
