My drag time
Hey guys,
I know S2000s are track and not a drag cars but my buddies and I are still going once a year just for fun. It was my first time with the S2k and I must say that while it is not a drag car, it can still do pretty good! My car is an AP2 2005, stock except a K&n FPKI.
My buddies best time (they all have light mods):
While these times are not crazy, we were among the quicker ones at the strip, everybody was complaining about traction issues...
Here is my time slip:
Reaction: .947
I1: 2.115
I2: 6.120
I3 8.895
E.T. 13.770
MPH: 100.379
So anyways, for all those who think S2000 can do anything on the drag... I was .3 second behind the C5 corvette
I think 13.7 is pretty damn good for a car with no tork

DA?
I am not sure about the S4... AWD german are not that quick IMO. I think its just a big good looking confortable car that can pull stuff lol. He usualy made good times with his previous cars so I don't blame the driver.

DA = Density Altitude. What were the weather conditions?
Nice, not too bad at all... I'm a long time drag racer (20+ years) but I have yet to even try to launch my s2k hard because I know it wouldn't touch any of my purpose built drag cars...

I found this on a website, but this is probably in best possible conditions with a professional driver. 2005 Audi S4 0-60 mph 5.4 Quarter Mile 13.7
Nice time on the S. Thats a really quick et. I woulda thought it would been around 14.5 area stock. Good job. Im gonna take mine to the strip for fun next month and now ill have a goal.

Thx guys,
For the density, it was about 15 degrees celcius and pretty dry, a bit cold for traction but great for the engine.
About the altitude, I have no idea. The strip is 'Luskville dragway' about 15 minutes from Ottawa (canada).
For the S4... I think high 13 or low 14 would have made more sense for a car with 340hp... but I dont know lol, german cars ehehe. I had a BMW 330Ci sport package before and I dont think I will ever get another german car. No hate or anything but if not brand new, or below 75K km, I find that they dont perform.
