Sorry to hear about your car, but good to hear you made it out okay.

Let us know what you think -- I have yet to see a comparison between the '06 / '07 DBW cars and the earlier models by someone on the R&C forum.
I drove an '07 at one of our Novice Schools. I did not notice the DBW at all. I could manage the throttle in the same manner as a the earlier cars. Throttle response - both getting on and trailing off - was appropriate.

Of course, I certainly wasn't driving the car 10/10ths, either.

Kathy, sorry to see this happen , and glad you're both fine. Your car was always so pristine too. Good to see you're getting right back into an S2k .

Coincidentally, my co-worker's husband's S2k had the same happen this past weekend. Both he and his daughter were unscratched too. Safe car (I know firsthand too).

Thanks for all the kind words (and vulturous posts). We ARE lucky our cars are so safe considering the danger we put them in (racetracks AND freeways). The good news is that it looks like the insurance is going to give me a really fair settlement and prices on the new ones seem REALLY low.

Glad to hear everyone's alright. I have terrible luck with any female driver + SUV. They ding my car, they drive into my lane, they cut me off, they try to run me down in a parking lot, they've run over my foot and hit me in the face while opening their door cuz they're too busy yapping on their cell phone... going to have to pack a shotgun soon.

I'm sorry to hear that! I just went through this myself 3 weeks ago. Glad that you are ok, and hope you get another!

stay away! I got first dibs.

*shows teeth*

I'm sure we'll be parting with the non-race spares, but cart before the horse.

Kathy how goes the new car search?
