NASA Time Trial Classifications
Hey racing community. I'm trying to get into TT. But I wanted to try to reach out to some veterans to understand how the point system and reclassification dyno works. The reason why is because I see people remaining in the TTC class with cars that point wise would far exceed the TTC Class especially in an AP2. So I wanted to see if I am understanding this correctly.
I Have an AP2 that I think I want to setup for TTB. Using the Point system it has the following modifications to suspension, tires, braking and aero. Im not looking for negative feedback on the build just want to see if I'm understanding this correctly.
Tires: Square 275 Hoosier R7 17 pts
Weight Reduction: 2790 (w/ driver?) 4 pts
Coilovers: Tein Mono Flex w/ 14k and 12k Spring Rates 5 pts
Brakes: Brembo Front BBK and RX-8 rear caliper and rotor 2 pts
Aerodynamics: Splitter, Canards, Wing, Diffuser 11 pts
Total: 39 pts UP ONE Class
As I continue onto the next page on the spreadsheet for Power to weight ratio I calculate I can have up to 264 whp and remain in TTB. I also read somewhere on here that you get a Dyno reclasification and therefor don't have to add Engine or weight points anymore. (example cams, displacement increase, ecu, exhaust and intake changes will still net below or around 264 whp but would add several points)
Aerodynamics Question: I have C West front bumper (With custom wide body extensions 0 or +3 or +6?) and C West Rear Bumper (+ 1?) and a Mugen Style Hardtop (+5? it doesn't overlap the trunk but isn't the OEM Top). Do these count for Additional Points? I just want to be sure.
Track width: I should be under 4 inches but want to verify my thinking. Factory offset front 55 rear 65. New offset 15 front and rear track increase front total 80 rear total 100. both less than 101.6=4inches
I didn't see any points required to be added for wider fenders in the spreadsheet.
Please let me know if I am going about these classification wrong.

TT4 will be replacing TTB next year. Looking at all the mods you have, you'd be better set in that class as it is just a ratio based class where you don't have to take points on every single mod.
If you'd like to be in TTC where the S2k is really competitive, then the logic of less is more applies. Your basic TTC setup is simply shocks and spring at 5pts, rear wing at 4pts and Hoosier r7 at 3pts under a TTC*.
