Nationals Run Groups
Leonard (should we just start calling you Lenny?),
My understanding is that the SEB is passing the shock rule as written, with aftermarket remote reservoirs banned starting 2004. However, that gives a full year for more feedback on the ruling. So far, I'd say the majority of letters has been against that portion of the rule. My guess is that there is a good chance the rule could go back the other way by the start of 2004, but that is just a guess.
Some of the easier classes? How about SM for starters, ES for sure, maybe BSP. Of course Rick R. may not agree with that.

P.S. Jason, thanks for letting us all get our asses kick in PAX this year.

Sorry Lenny... I've got a couple email addresses cooking, and the yahoo one doesn't get much attention. I still like you - trust me I do!
The rule's passed, but yes there is time to correct this grave mistake before the 2004 season. At least one SEB member also told me that there was still time this year, as the SEB has voted, but the BoD hasn't... however, the BoD usually passes what the SEB does... but letter writing should be a hobby of everyone's for the next 12 months, regardless of what side of the shock fence you are on!
As for the Indexes, Rick will probably kill me for 'sharing' but BS will probably go down to .825, while AS will go up to .829. Some of the 'easy' classes that will get harder are DS, GS, ASP, BSP, SM, F125, among others. Of course Nationals will have an impact on Rick's decision, so none of this is final.
I'll be lobbying for .824...
See everyone in Topeka!!!! I can't believe it's that time already. Everyone have a safe trip out there, and let's go have some fun.

Jason,
What is the best e-mail address to send our letters to? I would like to write something to the Nazis. What a mistake if this ruling is kept about disallowing remote reservoirs..
Just to confuse you more, my real first name is Pedro, not Ken or Leonard or Lenny. Yup, you heard it right. Ken comes from Kenichi my middle name. My dad is Pedro and his dad is Pedro so I'm Pedro III. Almost sounds like royalty.
And man, how does anyone drive a stock S2000 in a straight line? After driving Jason Keeney's in somewhat ASP trim for several days, I tried a BS S2000 (John Hyon's) and the thing gets sideways with least bit of provocation. Talk about a fun car though. I was like

Final run work order has been posted.
Hey Len-Ken-Pedro (or is it Kendra?
), guess who's covering CS for Sports Car? Hehe
Let's see if you and Keeney can stir things up a bit, make for some good copy...
I should've let you drive my car, back on the day when Gary T. declared it "the worst oversteering S2000 I've ever driven" (courtesy of some okay-looking but heat cycled to death rear Kumhos). He was only .006 seconds faster than me
- closest I'll ever get to matching his time. After experiencing that nightmare, the standard S2000 autocross setup (like John's) is a total breeze!
