I think I've narrowed down my choice of helmets to the Bell M3 and the Bieffe Predator. Both fit well. One of my concerns with the Predator is that it doesn't have front or top ventilation like the Bell M3 does (just has chin vents). Could some of the folks using the Predator comment on how hot it gets and if you feel the ventilation is sufficient?

On the other hand, the Bell M3 seems to have a smaller eye port than the Predator and the method of attaching the visor to the helmet doesn't look that sturdy (plastic as opposed to alloy on the Predator). Any satisfied M3 owners want to comment?

Thanks for any feedback!

I don't have either helmet, but as another piece of advice I remove the visor and just wear sunglasses, it gets pretty hot out on the track when you're workin it.

That's also why I use open-faced helmets. I suffered in a closed helmet breathing my own hot breath long enough...

I know its not on your list but I really rate my OMP Integrale Vision helmet, the key reason I chose it is that its Snell certified but its a joy to wear too and very light weight. I also have one of their Jet Rally open face helmets (mostly for use by my wife though) and that too is very comfortable and light.

I'm not sure how available OMP is in the USA but I think they're worth considering.

Thanks for everyone's input and recommendations. Much appreciated. I'm a little surprised that with all the Predator owners on this board no one has commented on ventilation. Well, thanks again to everyone who responded.

I used the OMP Formula helmet several times and was very satisfied. It's lighter than my motorcycle helmet and the ventilation is good.

I'm a Predator owner. I've been very happy with mine.

As for ventelation. I think it goes without saying that closed face helmets are hotter than open face and in 90 degree heat a few more openings in the shell makes little diffence in an S2000....now if your running in a Formula Ford thats a different story...

Buy the Predator you'll be very happy with it!!

Thanks again for the recommendations. I ended up getting an OMP Formula (wide eye port). It seemed to have an excellent combination of features.

Cheers.
