If you have to, use an approved eye bolt/reinforcement plate set-up with snap-in lap belt. Mount it in the floor outside the seat and back sufficiently per the instructions for mounting from Schroth. Frankly with the usage you have in mind, why not go Rallye?? They have a sew in mech to eliminate submarining.

Well, that's what is making me look at the Profi II ASM harness if a real 6-pt isn't going to work.

I was just thinking about that outside passenger mount as it on the pre-06's....hopefully, since the cars are made in RHD as well, if the MY06+ RHD cars have their driver's belt bolt to the floor, that means I should find said mounting point hiding underneath my carpet. Unless Honda actually has different floorboards based on what market the car is being made for....which would really piss me off.

@chuhsi: No, pretty sure the Vios 3, as well as a lot of (all?) Brides, doesn't have the center slot. I looked at a lot of Recaros on their site, and a lot of them didn't look like they have center slots. You would think all of these seats would, with what they're supposedly intended for.

I just checked my vios. It has a center slot exactly between the two seat cushions and the slot is 1.5x as wide as the other slots. Hope that helps!

Really?? I assumed they didn't have a center slot. Every picture I've ever seen never had one. Is it hidden somehow beneath the padding? The Vios III, correct?

vios III. yes, it's under the padding like a lot of seats. if you push your fingers between the front and back seat cushions, your fingers will go right through the hole.

No kidding. Well in that case I'm going 6-pt

I took a peek under the passenger side carpet to where the older MY00-05 seatbelt attachment point was, and no dice. Nothing but a big hole about 3/4" in diameter covered with a snap-in plastic cap. No threads or anything. Oh well.

Not sure if OP is still using this thread, but I have Bride VIOS IIIs in my car with the Schroth Profi ASM 4 pt. I also added the sub strap to my order to convert it to a 6 pt.

I only had to drill 2 holes for the sub strap, and used backing plates provided with the straps and eye hooks to clip onto (so they're removable).

I used the stock mounting point on the outside for the lap belt bolted into the seat rail for the inside lap belt. Shoulder harnesses are bolted to a harness bar.

Thanks for the help

Do you have a pic of where the eyebolts are on the floor, or where the backing plates are underneath the car? It looks like you have to be careful (not just because of the fuel/brake lines) but the big frame rail is in the general area.

Right now, I'm having second thoughts on the setup as I'm 6'3" and sit all the way back, and my head is still near the top of the factory hoops, even with the Vios III mounted all the way down on a Buddy Club rail. I haven't sat in a car with the Hard Dog, but I can imagine it would be a little to close for comfort (street car).

Just put one on either side of the box beam (aka "the big frame rail"). Only trick is to avoid conflict with the fuel lines.

No problem.

mikegarrison is right, just drill to either side of the frame rail. On the left side it is a bit trick as you need to make sure you don't accidentally drill into the fuel/brake lines. The Schroth instructions tell you how far back from the hole in the seat bottom and how far apart the holes need to be.

The other issue I had was the backing plates wouldn't sit flush where I drilled since the metal isn't all flat. I ended up placing the backing plate where I wanted it and began jacking the car up slightly right where the backing plate was at. This indented the metal enough to let it sit flush.

6'3" is pushing it. I'm about 6'1" and I feel like I could really use even a bit more leg room with the seat fully back. The head rest is up against the harness bar. If I had no harness bar, I could probably get another inch or two.

I know everyone says not to run a roll bar on a street car, but I see no possible way with my setup for my head to impact the bar, especially locked into a 6-pt harness.

Do you have a picture of how you mounted the inside lap belt? I'd like to use the factory anchor points if possible I feel much more comfortable using a factory load tested location.

I'm not sure why everyone says that a new anchor point must be installed in the tunnel (is this only if the stock receptacle is retained?). If the belt was a snap-in type, one of the BK brackets or simlar could possibly be used (I'm assuming there is no room for an eye bolt on the inside?) or the belt could be converted to a bolt in type.

Here is an image of the factory anchor points.

If anyone could shed some light on this before I go and purchase my belts it would be greatly appreciated.
