so for the Hankook tires on oem 16's the correct tire size would be as follows??

205/50/16 front
245/45/16 rear

let me know if this is correct...as i would like to try these out if they are a good max performance summer tire. Hopefully they will be as good as the stock s0'2 in dry and better in the wet

also are there any other people running the Toyo Ra-1's on the street...i would like to know how they perform in wet conditions...

also where can you get the RA-1's???
Hankook sizes, Yes those are correct. If you have a front sway you can go with the 225 up front.

RA-1's on the street are great. I loved it when I was using them. I ran them at the track in wet conditions as well. They were at about 4/32's in both instances and worked very well and were predictable. Of course at that depth they couldn't disperse a lot of standing water but did fine with what I would consider a wet surface. For reference F1 would of been on intermediates, definitely not risking the drys when I was on the street. The track experience I have F1 would of been on drys but it was still quite damp.

If you want a great street/autocross tire, I would recommend getting the Azenis. I have a set of the old Azenis on my Civic with about 5000 street miles and about 40 very hard autocross runs on them and still have at least half the tread left. They really are amazing tires and do VERY WELL in the rain. I have a set of the new Azenis on my S2000 but have yet to autocross on them but from what I can tell already, they shoud be even better than the old ones.

The new Azenis do come in perfect sizes for the 04-05 wheels. Try the 225/45/17 on the front and the 255/40/17 on the rear. If you got a set of the 04-05 wheels or a set of Volk CE28N's and had the new Azenis on them, I am sure you would be 100% pleased.

The RA1 sidewalk won't flex if you put enough air in them.

Get the Hankooks and report back to us. I'm sure they will be good for the street.

sorry if my post was unclear. i was talking about the RS-2's.

he did mention trying more air in the RS-2's to fight sidewall flex, but said he wasn't satistfied.

if rs-2's, in comparison to the kumho mx or toyo T1-s, is better...then yea, its a good tire.

but in comparison to s-02 if its worse, i can forgive that.
