Nitto NT-01
Not just driver preference...driver speed, too. If you have more grip on the last lap than you did on the third, you should add more air. If you have less grip on the last lap than you did on the first, lower the pressures. Make a mental note of what the outside tires are doing during turns as you rack up laps. At the end of the day you should have your left/right/front/back all set up so that you're not too squirmy in the first few laps and not too slippery in the latter ones. Measure 'em hot and then measure 'em cold and write down the PSI in each tire so when you show up at the track the next time you don't have to f around.
These are my first set of r-compounds. I got the 245/275 set up. I will let you know how they turn out. I previously had Neovas 225/255 and they were good but I felt there was too much spring for them (tein SRC). So the NT-01 will be better suited. Most people run around 36 hot on the RA-1.

On an unrelated and yet similar note, have you run the RA1s (it's kissin' cousin with a different tread) and can you compare and contrast the RAs and the Nittos?
