Default Best tire pressures for the track?

Hi guys,

What do you recommend for the stock front and rear 17" tires?

I am planning on running the car on a road course at an HPDE in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks
Tony

At my first HPDE someone suggested 36 psi cold all around to start with. That's worked fine for me although I'm still very much a novice. Don't worry too much about the exact optimal settings if you're just starting out. There's much to learn before the small tweaking and tuning becomes important. Just my opinion.

Bleed them back to the 37-38 range once they get hot too - otherwise the RE050's tend to get pretty greasy.

gesch, I recently on a 70 degree day started at 32 came in hot at 36ish and proceeded to bleed them back to 30 f & r all day and really liked the results.

who knows... it's the first time I really got all the wear to perform consistently while giving me a solid amt of grip...

ymmv?

Hmm - what did the tread shoulders look like at the end of the day when running that low?
