Was speaking to my builder today about the hardtop rule http://www.nasaforums.com/viewtopic....38768&start=20
He felt the .3 hit was worth having the lower center of gravity. The cage is currently being built for the Mugen style ht where it sits lower then it would with an oem style.
Anyhow wanted to get others thoughts on this. Perhaps the minimal aero combined with lower cg make this .3 pt hit worth it!

I would think that its worth the .3 due to the angle of rear window, but the s2k really suffers aerodynamically when it comes to the front windshield. The angle is quite steep and really disturbs the airflow above the roofline. Given that, I don't know that if the airflow would be disturbed enough to not matter what angle the rear window is at or not. I do know that OEM vs Mugen, the Mugen design is more efficient.

So on my car the .3 difference would equate to a 10hp difference going from 335 to 325 at 2700lbs with driver.
I really can't imagine this would make that much of a difference.

Idk I guess it's 6 or 1/2 a dozen, albeit my builder feels the lower cg of the cage does make a difference. Either way I'm am happy it's not a worthless hit as I was under the impression it was for so long
