Non-Stagerred Setup
I have a 225/255 on 17x9 RPF1 rims on my 2001 s2000. By few instructors who I trust when its comes to driving I was given the advice of buying
255/40/17 X4 all around, so instead of stagerred 255/255 F/R tires that I currently have( almost dead now). I have no wing nor aero on my s2000, I just have allignment done by EVASIVE Motorsports.
I know that if I increase the meat in front to 255 my car will be more oversteering, what I am curious is what sort of things I can learn with a oversteery setup. I am trying to improve my times in future and what I am after is becoming a better driver today. In other words I don't care too much about my times today, I just want to become a better driver all around and have great times in future. What sort of benefit 255/255 front and back setup will give me.
Please let me know, Thanks.

Hi,
a wing might help but back to the basic question, the grip afforded by the bigger fronts should mean your turn in will be more effective. my personal feedback is that i need to turn the steering less to get the car turning to the direction i want so recalibrating yourself to adjust to the usual amount of steering is probably necessary.
i have 17x9 rpf1's like u, mine are +45 offset. some thoughts of mine when going non staggered are posted here: http://racings2000.blogspot.com/2011...-thoughts.html
hope its of some value to you, good luck.
