Default Non staggered wheels?

What alignment changes are people making to work with non staggered wheels and tires? I just installed a set of 9"x17"+62 wheels with 255/40-17 Hankooks and the front end seems to wander a highway speeds. The car seems to want a little more toe in.

Yeah, that's the thing about running big rubber up front. The car will want to wander. Mine's not on the road yet so I'm not sure what the cure is. Curious to know, though!

Add some toe-in in the rear.

My specs are:

Max front camber - 2.1
Rear camber -2.9
Front toe 0
Rear toe 1/8" toe-in
Max front caster

I'm on KW V3's with a Saner fsb.

I had similar mods but a much different alignment.

-3 camber front
0 toe

-2.8 camber rear
3/16" total toe.

Have you run a pyrometer to see if the alignment is working? My guess is no, otherwise you wouldn't still be running a cookie cutter alignment spec.

Wandering could be attributed to a bunch of things, more specifically tires with stiffer sidewalls... all depends on your definition of wandering.

The car wanders just enough to require attention but not a lot of corrections at highway speed 70-80mph and is sensitive to steering inputs at lower speeds. I'm running a local autocross this weekend and will know more after that.

Did you change the ride height at all? If you dropped the front at all it will toe out which will cause wandering. It will also kill your tires real fast.

No ride height change, stock CR suspension.

I run less than a 1/16 toe-in at the rear with a saner and 9" rpf1's RE-11's all round and it definitely wanders its never understeers though

Have you checked the alignment? I would check it out and make sure the front toe is zero. Get the whole thing checked while you are at it.

If you don't know how, learning how to do your own alignment is well worth the effort and $ for the tools. You can get there fairly inexpensively. Longacre toe plates for $62 plus shipping and an inexpensive digital level for camber.
