I noticed that you down shift from 4th to 3rd then 2nd to take a turn and in similar situations, I would normally down shift from 4th to 2nd directly. Do you know of the advantages of one over the other and is there is preferred method?

I always shift through the gears sequentially as well; less chance to make an error that way imo.

Less chance of error for sure--when you go through each gear there's less chance of a misshift and there's less chance of mistakenly letting the clutch out too soon and over-revving.

Plus skipping gears is supposedly harder on the synchros.

what wheels do you have that are 15x7? the Team Dynamics? I haven't seen your race wheels.
Not my stock times, but 1:52 in stock form on R compounds at Pahrump is the S2000 benchmark. Kam

Yes, the Team Dynamics. I'm running 205/50 and 225/50 on them now. If you come tomorrow you can see them.
