If you need, call me. I have an OEM hardtop that you can test fit with.

I'm pretty sure the OEM hardtop has more head clearances compared to the Mugen. I've owned both and thats what I remembered anyways. If it cannot clear, you can always gut the interior of the OEM. Then it will fit 100%.

dose anyone know if there is a space difference between a OEM hardtop and a mugan one.
I am getting my cage built right now and I ma useing a Mugan hardtop. The series I had planned on running in is now canceled for the season and the next best is an IP/IT class wich means I have to run an OEM hardtop.

I am affraid the OEM hardtop will not fit now because the cage has be designed based on the space provided by the mugan top.

comments please...
Well first off its a MUGEN not a Mugan top.

Second...if your cage was designed for the Mugen top, the OEM top will not fit without modification.

My rollcage was designed to just fit under the mugen CF HT which has more inside room especially around the "B-pillar" of the car.

So in order to fit teh OEM top to my race-car we had to cut out some sheet metal from the inside metal structur of the OEM top aound the B-pillar area and just above the side windows.

Hope this helps

I think in the end you really need to do a test fit. If your builder is really good, then the cage should be really close to the Mugen hardtop. Then, you will have an issue. If your cage isn't that close to your hardtop to start off with, then maybe it will be fine. Just find someone with an OEM top and do a test fit, that's the easiest way.

Either way if it doesn't fit just cut out the inside of the OEM hardtop to get the clearance.
