What a week! Congratulations to Erik, Dave, JP and Randy for an incredible team performance.
Erik and the crew went through hell to get the car well prepared and maintained it through adversity, and Dave drove like a programmed machine .

Conversation would go something like this after Dave warmed up with, say, consistent 2:07's laptimes:
Dave says: "I think we can get to 2:06's, maybe 2:05's". Erik looks at the Evo's times and says: "Dave, you will do 2:04's." Dave responds: "Egads!.... Hmmm....okay", then goes out a runs a string of 2:04's with the car visibly on the ragged edge . Dave would say things like "I used the wind in turn 9 (at Willow) to help bring the car in to the apex" or, "I timed a countersteer with that bump so the car would land straight" .

See Dave... you don't need forced induction, elaborate brake designs, or even slicks... just balls the size of Cleveland!

Why is it that a turbocharged 2 litre EVO is T3, but a turbo'd 2 litre S2000 is considered T2? (Besides the fact that we're better than them... )

Congrats to all the drivers who competed in one of racing's coolest events

Here's Dave and Todd in the hotpit at Sears. Dave did 1:54's on street tires.

We figured you did this just so it could turn in an hold the line better in the left hand sweepers at Buttonwillow. Cheating Bastards. Why didn't I think of that.

The Aero wasnt the only thing setup asymetrically on the car Its amazing the things you discover when you forget to check the tire pressure of the new tires on the left side of the car.
