Questions in the second category are valid as well, but they really belong in S2000 Talk, not Racing and Competition, in my opinion.
That's why I proposed the "Under the Fenders" forum: to take the general, non-racing-related suspension questions to their own location where I can ignore them

Damn babies! The car is SUPPOSED to kick out in the corners if you drive it properly!

My clutch died at the last practice/race (a few weeks ago) and I had to drive an Evo and an STI. They were fun...but too darn stable. I wanted to fling the car around more!

I really pushed the car at this weekend's SCNAX Cup here in So Cal and I was able to anticipate when it kicked out and/or catch it when it started. And I'm a GIRL. That should shut them up for a while. Hehe.

Disclaimer: I've been autocrossing for about 6 months now. So I'm not quite experienced enough, but have accumulated enough bravado to make sweeping statements like this. Oh...and I got the Most Valuable Driver award this Sunday! Which translates as me having the best index of the bunch...hehe

Yes, I remember that line from the Bentley book. I started track driving in 2002, and it was like driving on rails for the first days. Now I'm definitely having more fun with the car

That's my world now. But hopefully it will be fixed soon.
Good point jzr. I drove Socal Craig's stock suspension car at BW and was so pleasantly reminded of how well the stock car handles on R-compounds.
Having trouble rotating? You should talk to this guy...

Yeah yeah, smoother inputs would have helped me, But those were the wrong spring rates on a M3. I played with a bunch of things at the end of that run and got the car working MUCHO better. Still need softer rear springs.

Work on that a little, and you can win an SCCA drift contest!

Oversteer is so much more controllable and to the advantage of the good driver than understeer! Power slides, 4 wheel drifts - great fun!!!

I hate oversteer on the street. Snap oversteer is more like it.
Understeer is fun because you can't generally lose the car, it just pushes everywhere.

Its a matter of taste, and for the most part, based on experience.
How many of the people who love sliding the ass around were brought up or drove RWD cars most of their life?
