actually the damage is pretty minimal for the failure and speed I left the track at.

I was convinced I was gonna test my new roll bar.

I hit one sage bush to fly thru the air thru a bigger bush to land and come to a stop on the other side. There are some good dents in the rear fenders right in front of the wheel well from the first bush that launched me into the air. My rear bumper was already pretty tore up.

The trunk is open in the pics but its fine. The wheel is fine too.

now I need to find a source for stronger hubs. These ones were only ~6 months old.

heh as for the last pic, thats my new design. I call it a moon rotor and is saves atleast 15 lbs.

Oh btw: very nice driving to Dearing, he was much close to JZR than most anticipated.

Man, it certainly won't be long before Speed Ventures' name is effectively changed. It will only take the swapping of two letters on our logo so I guess it won't be a big deal for us to take care of that.

I'd like to thank rlaifatt for letting me drive his car and being able to successfully prove, yet again, that I'm either the fastest driver in MOD or just happen to be in the fastest car. Dearing was quite impressive, but JZR did manage to hold him off without having to drive at all on Sunday, so I guess Dearing will go crawling back into the comfort of his viper's den. As I was two seconds ahead of both of them I didn't really have to watch the monitor too closely, but JZR was over there popping valium as Dearing went tearing around lap after lap, within 0.3 of his best time for the weekend.

It was a great turnout, as far as S2000's go and the fires returning home were amazing. From 70 miles away we could see flames 100's of feet high jumping over the ridges of the San Gabriels. It's too bad people's homes actually have to burn down when that happens. Getting back was yet another adventure. DavePK, krazik, sphinctertone, strike, and I successfully took dirt roads throughout the desert to avoid traffic. I made it home in 7 hrs. including many, many stops. Not bad considering so many freeways were closed.

Hmmmm: what else happened? sphyncxter speed in a water bottle on I-15. DavePK had to use all the race gas in everyone's vehicles to get through the dirt roads, rlaifatt spun out and then drove his car into a ditch, and JZR added to our reputation for cunning and intelligence by leaving his car out of gear (after I'd just mentioned not to do this in the drivers meeting) and having it roll across the paddock and break Rupert's wall yet again. In the exact same spot I think.

Lets keep in mind how you got those last few seconds.!! I think next time You will not be aloud in any CAR I am driving.....especially if I am only less than a second behind you in what you call a MOD car. Craigs car was very impressive IN STOCK FORM. It was amazing to see how well those little bitty Honda's handle. Just could not find another 3 tenths.

Mr Bitterman you go to any lengths to get the DCB tricks. I got your number.......

Well, at least you didn't hit anything Ry - there's always a bright side! So how did you get the car on the trailer? Creative movement of disabled cars has become a new interest of mine...
