Default Panther Plus Pads

I've always run the XP10's or the Cobalt XR2, Spec VR's etc for track days. Science of Speed posted this on their site. Makes me think that the Panther Plus are better suited for track days. Any comments or experience with these is appreciated. Thanks!

Carbotech Panther Plus

notes:
Excellent choice for track use such as HPDE/driver's ed / time attack / open lapping days. Tremendous brake torque available in cold and hot operating conditions. More versatile operating temperatures than XP which should be used for dedicated track cars running endurance type events. Increased dust and noise but very rotor friendly. Can be used on the street for customers not minding the dust/noise.

Carbotech XP 10

notes:

Recommended for dedicated track cars running in endurance type track events. Peak operating conditions biased towards consistent high rotor temps found in endurance events. Rotor friendly but not recommended for street use due to the limited brake power in cold conditions.

No, if you are running XP10s or XR2 you do not want to switch to Panther Plus. They are much lower temp pads. Fine pads for beginners or autoX, where the temps don't get as high.

That is 100% true.

They aren't even that good for the street. Not bad, just unexceptional. There are three threads on this that I'm aware of.

I used them for my first and second track days and they held up great. But then again, I'm a beginner so I'm sure just as the others posted, this is probably why they have treated me great thus far. However, no brake fade for 30+ minutes of tracking and getting abs to come on about 3 or 4 times per lap, they held up just fine for me.
