Thumbs up Pedal options?

Hello all,

I am wondering if any of you have changed your pedals?

I'm looking for a wider or L-shaped accelerator to help me with my heel-toes. I find the OEM pedals a little skinny and/or not properly shaped for me. They work, but I feel like there's a better set?

I appreciate your recommendations!

Cheers,

22B
PS: still doing the "old school" heel-toe, working on the other "rolling" technique...

the stock accelerator pedal have a aesthetic face riveted on, I drilled out these rivets and made a 1/8" thick aluminum face for the pedal that was about .5" wider on the side towards the brake pedal. I had the same problem when I went from wearing regular shoes to race shoes. The .5" was plenty for me but you should be able to do whatever you want for less than $10 provided you have a drill and a rivet gun (or can borrow them)... They are 1/8" rivets FYI.

I use the RAZO gas pedal, found it for about 20 bucks. It has a left side "wing" that can be angled out closer to the brake pedal, and small spacers to bring the bottom of the pedal face closer to you. Spacers work great for matching static gas pedal height to depressed brake pedal height.

i unbolted the gas pedal and shimmed it with washers, now it's easier to heel-toe

Does your foot ever slip off the pedal with it being just bare aluminum? You may want to put some grip tape on it to help if so. Just a suggestion.
